Work Centre
A Work Centre, or workplace, is a location or area where production work is carried out in a production process. In production flow, a Work Centre defines the place where a specific production operation or job is performed, such as assembly, welding, or packaging.
Each Work Centre usually has different characteristics, such as the type of machinery, tools, or skills required to complete production tasks. Therefore, Work Centres must be grouped and managed properly to ensure smooth production operations.
In a production flow, Work Centres are often identified through unique numbers or codes, making it easier for companies to identify and track production activities. Work Centres can also be grouped into larger clusters, such as Work Centres for producing specific parts or Work Centres for manufacturing specific products.
In SOFICloud ERP software, Work Centres are used as parameters or references in determining production routes and production schedules. Companies can optimize the use of Work Centres by creating efficient production schedules and determining optimal production times and costs for each Work Centre.
